A level Arabic – Pearson-Edexcel.
Prescribed literary texts and films. There is a choice of three films and three texts.
For paper 2 students are required to study two works from the list contained in the specification (Appendix 1). The works can be either two literary texts or one literary text and one film.
There are three papers:
Paper 1 – Translation into English, reading comprehension and writing (research question) in Arabic.
Paper 2 – Translation into Arabic and written response to works (prescribed texts or films).
Paper 3 – Listening, reading and writing in Arabic.
