1. INTRODUCTION

a) Thank you for taking the time to read these condensed terms and conditions. The purpose of this page is really to show full transparency, support our clients with information, and reduce any misunderstanding. 
 
b) Don’t worry not everything written here is fixed, and we may be flexible on some terms depending on the circumstances. We are here to work with you so please contact us about any terms or conditions, on this page, that you feel may need clarification, updating, or altering, at the time of your application, or prior to payment.

2. RESPONSIBILITIES

a) to provide us with the full, and correct information and to provide an email that you monitor regularly.   

b) to respect that the instructors are engaged to educate, and not to complete work on a students behalf. Tutors are not to make arrangements with clients outside of what is agreed by ADLS administration, nor to take part in any activity, or conversation that is discriminatory, or unlawful. 

c) to accept that tuition is an aid to learning, but is not a guarantee of any expectation, or predicted grade. Success is a combination of factors such as sufficient language contact hours, the right motivation inside and outside of lessons, completion of homework tasks etc. 

d) to abide by the payment deadlines so as not to jeopardise lesson availability, lesson duration, or any offers. 

e) to observe the minimum one (1) hour written email notice for non-attendance/absence. 

3. FREE MEETINGS & TRIALS 

a) Free meetings and trials are limited and are offered based on:

  1. a one-off online meeting, after completion and receipt of the free trial form, or email detailing how we can help you. 
  2. an online Zoom or Skype meeting, unless otherwise arranged.
  3. meeting durations lasting for up to 40 minutes, unless extended, reduced, or it has to be cancelled. 
  4. trials are not used as an overall assessment of student abilities.
  5. meetings, and appointments, are subject to availability and are at the discretion of the admin.
  6. free trial lessons may be less available during the run up to mocks and exams between February to June.

4. PAYMENTS 

a) Advanced (reduced) monthly package payments shall be due by the first (1st) and latest third (3rd) of each month, in order to continue to benefit from the reduced monthly rate.  A package of lessons is defined as one payment to include four (4) or more lessons within a month.

b) All Pay As You Go (PAYG) payments are due on, or before, the day of the lesson, depending on whether your lesson takes place in the morning or evening. Pay As You Go (PAYG) are all payments due, or made, outside of the monthly reduced package deal. Refer to ADLS email communications for clarification. 

c) You may receive at least one payment reminder, after which payments should be made on time. 

d) All payments are to be used for the dates/month that the payment reminder/invoice applies to.  

5. ATTENDANCE

a) Students should register their attendance by leaving a message stating they are present and waiting for the lesson (If using Skype). This can be done shortly before time of the lesson.

b) If a student feels that they might be late for a lesson they should get in contact with the tutor, or administration, at the earliest opportunity.  

c) You should give written email notice, in advance, for any lesson absence. The notice period should be at least one (1) hour before a lesson is due.

d) Non-attendance of a meeting, or lesson without written notice, does not entitle an automatic refund, or rollover.

e) If a tutor is waiting but there is no response from a student, and the tutor feels that the student will be absent, the tutor shall be free to cancel a lesson within fifteen (15) minutes of student absence/‘no-show’. 

f) All lessons are to be taken within the dates/month that the payment reminder/invoice applies to.  

6. REFUNDS

a) There shall be a refund, on your package of lessons, if we are unable to commence your lesson/s, or the service requested.

b) There shall be a refund, on your package of lessons, if you change your mind before starting lessons, or before delivery of lessons, and on receipt of your cancellation email, at least three (3) hours prior to the service/lesson due time.  

c) There shall be a refund if you cancel within fourteen (14) days within the month/dates that you payment applies to, on monthly packages, less admin fee. 

d) There are no refunds on unarranged, or random payments. Unarranged payments are defined as any payment outside the amount that has been stated in the payment reminder/invoice and have not been agreed to by the ADLS Language admin. Unarranged payments includes; part payment, incorrect amount paid, or late payments. All payments, agreed or unagreed, should be used for the dates/month that the payment reminder/invoice applies to.  

e) Refunds for any other circumstance, shall be reviewed on an individual basis. All refunds are processed within 14 days, less an administrative fee of £5.50, and less any missed or cancelled lessons.

7. PRIVACY & COOKIES POLICY

a) In line with the GDPR regulations, we are making you aware that in order to proceed with your request, or order, we will need to use your name, email, and or phone number to contact you.

b) By proceeding with an order, or appliction you consent to ADLS Language Support using your contact details in order for us to contact you regarding your order, application, trial, lessons, and potential support.

3. TRIALS 

a) Free trials are offered based on:

  1. Meeting durations shall usually last for around 40 minutes, unless the tutor extends it, or there is reason to reduce it. 
  2. A one-off online session/meeting. 
  3. An online Zoom or Skype meeting, unless otherwise arranged.
  4. Trials, and appointments, being subject to availability and are at the discretion the admin. 

b) Free trials are not intended to be used as an overall assessment.
